Can stress and depression affect muscle growth?

I am 25 year old male, I am planning on starting weight training soon. I am a pessimist and am a night person, i stay up late at night sometimes all night and I am often stressed and depressed. I have heard that being depressed affects muscle growth to some extent and thus one should try to stay depressed, is it really true? will the depression affect the weight training output?, Thanks

What fruits and vegetables are good for muscle growth?

I just got a really nice Juicer and I’ve been juicing like crazy! I love it. I go to the gym usually twice a day. Bodyfat is around 10 percent. 6 foot. What fruits and vegetables should I juice/consume for enhanced muscle growth? And any recommendations for fat burning fruits or vegetables? Serious answers only please. Have been getting into weight lifting alot recently and would like to know the best way to eat in order to maximise muscle growth? Couple of questions. Should you eat 3 large meals a day, or small meals more frequently – if so how many meals? If possible please can you list what kind of food to eat / avoid when looking to gain muscle? And also how long should you leave since your last meal before going to the gym? Thanks

Breakfast – Cereal Nestle Clusters 50g, 1 protein shake (100% optinum whey gold) 1 x pre bio yoghurt drink, 1 pint of water and 250ml pure orange juice
Mid-morning – 1 x banana, handfull brasil nuts
lunch – 75g brown rice, 100g tuna flakes in spring water, mixed vegetables, 2 x wholemeal bread (no spread) low fat high protein yoghurt.
Mid-afternoon – protein bar, 1 x apple.
Pre work out – creatine
Post workout – Protein shake
Dinner – White fish in bread crumbs, peas and small portion of over cooked chips.
Evening snack – Banana
And water throughout the day.
