I am sick and tired of the way I look right now. I am 6′0, 197 and I am an average build, but I have man boobs and a gut, I want to get rid of them, build some muscle and have a good chest and abs. Bike riding to get in shape?

I am a college student who has experienced the awfulness of the Freshman 15 (well, 20 or 25, really). I have not done anything physical since I quit tennis about two years ago. This summer, I will have 3. 5 months off and am planning to work very hard and stay dedicated to getting in shape through bike riding. I live in an area with a lot of varied roads, some steep, some straight, some hilly, etc. , and would love to take advantage of that. I am a vegetarian and healthy eater but will be going on a calorie-restricting diet (~1200) once summer comes. I am doing this so I can lose some of this extra poundage and so I can get my legs and body back in shape. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a regime that I could follow in order to achieve weight loss/muscle building results? I am a beginner. Thanks!

Ways to get in better shape for soccer season?

I’m a 16 year old boy. 6 foot even and about 155 lbs (fluctuates between 150-155). I am not extremely athletic, but I have the build for it, it is just that I do not have the best stamina and I have a mild case of asthma (I’ve only had one asthma attack, but I do get winded while working out). I am starting to go running at a track by me. I walk about 2 miles to get there, jog/run the track for a mile, then walk back. I don’t want to do dieting because I don’t need to as I am underweight as it is, but what should I be eating to get in top shape? I’ve thought about maybe doing a vegetarian diet for the season(just for during season because I love meat). But then would that make me lose muscle or make it harder to build muscle? I think just cutting out junk food would be better. My volleyball coach is also making us do weight lifting this summer so that will help me get in good shape as well. But does any one have any tips on what exercises I should do and some foods I should eat to help my body?No thanks Shania. Go away and advertise somewhere else. well it’s not that I want to be ripped. It’s that I just want to have good stamina.

What is the best way for a woman to start to get into shape and build lots of muscle w/o using suppliments?

I used to be in really good physical shape about two years ago and then I got pregnant. However, I used supplements and didn’t eat that well cuz of the cost. I now am having lower back problems and with that and the cost of food and additional supplimentation, it has become rather discouraging to try to get back into good physical shape. Any suggestions? I Wanna build a lean body with perfect shape. tell me How?

I am 6. 1 in height and 88 Kgs. Weish 35 inches. Little fat on my tummy. So i need to reduce my fat and then just give shape to my body. I dont want heavy muscles but a lean muscles. Perfect for modeling. Please help me with this. I cant control diet much. I have a light break fast something like idli or dosa. Lunch i have two chapati and a fruit bowl. Dinner i have Rice with sambar and sometimes little curds too. Sundays i eat chicken at KFC for lunch and also Pizza at pizza hut but the dinner will be the same. Do i have to cut down anything from my diet during this process?
