Reasons why many people don’t succeed to build lean muscle mass
One of the major obstacles which has made many people unable to build lean muscle mass is because they have been fed with very wrong information regarding how best they can be able to develop and build lean muscle mass. There are many articles nowadays which propose the use of anabolic steroids as the best way one can be able to build lean muscle mass. Most of these articles are used to promote these products and they do not give a damn about your welfare and whether these products will compromise your health.
I had a very close friend of mine with whom we started bodybuilding together. We all shared the same goal which was to build lean muscle mass for the summer; the only difference was that I chose to use the natural means to build lean muscle mass. As for him he chose to use steroids because, according to him, training the natural way was to slow. After four months the guy started complaining that he had a lot of difficulty when sleeping and also his sexual drive had gone so low.
When we did a bit of research we found out that some of the effects he was experiencing were closely linked to the use of steroids. Luckily, after seeing a fitness expert, he was told that the above symptoms were as a result of using steroids and that these effects were reversible as long as he stopped using the drugs immediately. If you want to build lean muscles mass for the summer, do not be fooled into using any wonder drugs because they can seriously affect your health to the extent that you are unable to enjoy yourself during the summer.
The other reason why many people fail to build lean muscle mass is because the training regimen they are using is very wrong. Their training regimen incorporates the use of very heavy weights with few reps. If your training regimen is of this nature, you will not be able to build lean muscle mass, instead you will become very massive. This is because when you train using very heavy weights; your muscles will be damaged extensively leading to a great increase in muscle size.
How to build lean muscle mass
However, if your intention is to build lean muscle mass and not becoming very massive then your training regimen should incorporate the use of light weights with very many reps. Such a training regimen is very effective in stimulating the lean muscles to develop and grow.

I’m an athlete and I’m getting a gym membership this winter. Are there specific leg workouts I can do to improve certain aspects of my running, such as explosion and long distance stamina? Any insight into specific muscle workouts and what part of running they help with would be appreciated.
The Most Important Muscle Building Item in the Gym is the Least Used

People walk right past the most important item in the gym everyday without even realizing that it is the key to mass building success. If you use this every time you workout you will actually begin to obtain the body that you think you are building, but probably arenât, and canât figure out why. The entire field of muscle building boils down to one very simple concept. Break the muscle down with X amount of weight so that when it recovers it can do that same amount of work the next time without breaking down again. So to get bigger, you must use X plus weight to break the muscle down, it recovers to handle this amount and on and on. Now there are many variables that factor in to this process. Things like nutrition, supplements, amount of rest and so on. But the concept is fixed. Many things affect the process but only by understanding the concept and then following through with it again and again can you even have a chance at muscle mass gains. Itâs obvious that you can do all the variable things involved in muscle building, but if you donât hit the gym and understand this concept, there will be no gain. Understanding this concept then means lifting X plus weight in every workout for the same body part right? Do you? Probably not. Why? Well lots of reasons. But the REAL reason is ego, and not REALLY understanding the concept of muscle building. If you can bench 200 today for x reps and x sets. Your goal for the very next chest workout is what? It should be x reps and x sets at 200 PLUS! So the most important part is the PLUS! Which leads me to the most important item in the gym. The 1 pound weight plate. Do you EVER use it? I didnât think so. Using the bench example, when you tear the muscle down with 200 and it recovers to handle the same load again do you need to tear it down with 210? 225? 245? Letâs say 225. When it recovers in a couple days and you work chest again can you handle the 225 easy? So this workout letâs use 250 and then 275 and then 300. See, it doesnât work that way. If it did you would be benching tons in months. So why lift that way?So why donât people use 1 pound weights? Not impressive enough? The reason I hear a lot is that they are TOO light and donât make any difference. They canât even tell they are on the bar. Isnât that the POINT? If you add a 1 pound plate to each side every workout, and you train chest say ONCE a week, in a year youâll be benching a 100 pounds more than today. Are you benching 100 pounds more today than a year ago? Why again are you in the gym?
